On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Recognise the main influences in history on youth work in Ireland.
  2. Examine the role of national organisations, religious groups and other agencies and assess their effectiveness in the delivery of youth work services.
  3. Assess the key government polices which have shaped youth work.
  4. Critically evaluate current funding policy and how it is impacting on youth work today.
