Module Description:This module develops students awareness, knowledge and skills in intercultural communications helping them become more interculturally competent in an increasingly multicultural environment
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Explain the nature and role of culture and perception in communications
  2. Describe and explain the pervasive and hidden influence of culture on behaviour and attitudes
  3. Demonstrate awareness, knowledge and skills in intercultural understanding
  4. Apply the knowledge and skills learned to their own work and social lives in a multicultural environment
  5. Debate the relevance of intercultural competence in today's world
