On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Interact in spoken French in situations relevant to preparing a study visit to France.
  2. Understand and reproduce features of French pronunciation such as intonation and rhythmic groups.
  3. Understand authentic aural and written material.
  4. Write short factual messages such as emails and longer descriptive texts.
  5. Demonstrate knowledge of aspects of French life and society.

Comparative & superlative, reflexive verbs, pronouns, use of perfect & imperfect.
French for general purposes
World of work: CV, cover letters, Study of a French film, Aspects of French society ex: family, cultural activities, restaurant etiquette & comparison with Ireland. Current affairs (using radio & Tv recordings)
