Module Description:The aim of this module is to enable students to assess how dimensions of difference engender patterns of inequality
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Explore and explain the social construction of difference as deviance
  2. Discuss the contexts and types of Social Capital
  3. Explain the concepts of Equality and Social Justice
  4. Demonstrate the overlapping, crosscutting complexities of multiple dimensions of difference
  5. Identify and explain what is meant by racism, sexism and ageism
