Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Evaluate the factors that shape the globalisation process and the internationalisation of the firm; the impact of globalisation on firm strategy and operations; the evolution of strategy in multinational enterprises; specific modes of entry strategy such as FDI, exporting, licensing, franchising, manufacturing, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances.
  2. Explain the practice of analysing and evaluating business strategies in the light of changing conditions in economic, technological, political/legal and social environments.
  3. Research and evaluate potential markets, and the strategies that can be used to assist companies in penetrating these markets.
  4. Integrate the various disciplines through the provision and usage of realistic and up-to-date international examples/case studies.
  5. Present an idea in teams to a panel
