Module Description:Students completing this module will understand the fundamentals of study skills for effective learning and project management; have an appreciation of different learning approaches; will appreciate the range of information resources available and the importance of information literacy in communicating their ideas; they will also reflect on their own learning process.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Apply study skills to his/her course in a constructive way.
  2. Demonstrate the skills of information access and evaluation. Understand plagiarism and how to avoid it.
  3. Demonstrate independent learning.
  4. Communicate their ideas and output fluently including their option for semester two.
  5. Use a portfolio to effectively record and reflect on semester progress.
