Module Description:The aim of this module is to further develop the screenwriting skills students will have acquired in Writing for Creative Media - Year 1. Students will be introduced to the more advanced elements of screenwriting. They will learn also about the various techniques of writing for T.V. (Drama, Soap, Reality T.V.) and online Web Drama
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Demonstrate a more advanced understanding of the craft of screenwriting in areas such as characterisation, dialogue, visual storytelling and the cinematic grammar of the visual image.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of the range of skills required for writing different kinds of television narrative.
  3. Learn to analyse the writing element of films and T.V drama
  4. Learn the skills of team writing in T.V. (Character Bible, Storyline, Scene dialogue).
