  2. Identify, evaluate and solve a typical civil engineering design scenario.
  3. Gather relevant data from national and international codes, policy documents and other souces.
  4. Plan and manage independently.
  5. Communicate effectively in both written and oral form.

Preliminary assessment of design options.
Assessment of options and selection of preferred option
Field survey/data collection.
Suvey of site and/or collection of data as appropriate
Analysis and design.
Full design calculations and analysis
Preparation of written report.
Presentation of design proposal including calculations and drawings in a bound report
Research Topic
Further Research on a specific civil engineering topic relevant to overall project
Oral presentation and interview.
Power Point Presentation of Project in front of Project Supervisors followed by a Q/A session
