Module Description:Students completing this module will have a thorough understanding of the creative process and its application within the context of digital media. They will be able to utilise a variety of techniques to further explore and develop their digital media concepts.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Employ brainstorming techniques to explore the possibility space of their own projects.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of the rudiments and techniques of storytelling for New Media.
  3. Follow the design thinking process in order to develop stories with a focus on the end user.
  4. To tell the same story in a variety of Media so they will understand how to use technologies that are easily accessible for creative purposes.
  5. Understand the importance of creativity and reflect on their individual creative capabilities
  6. Recognise and understand the 12 Stages of The Hero's Journey (Joseph Campbell)
  7. Communicate innovative media concepts through presentations and written documentation
