Module Description:This module aims to equip students with the ability to produce schedules of works typical of building surveying practice.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Quantify construction works for a non-domestic building of conventional construction
  2. Quantify construction works for refurbishment projects
  3. Compose a schedule of works for a non-domestic building of conventional construction and for refurbishment projects

Indicative Content
Measurement of non-domestic buildings
Quantification of construction works for new build non-domestic buildings in accordance typical construction industry practices for schedules of works (site works, substructure, structure piped ducted and electrical services)
Measurement of refurbishment projects
Quantification of construction work for refurbishment of buildings (demolitions, stripping out, alterations to existing structure)
Schedule of Works
Standard formats; item descriptions; preambles; preliminaries

Reassessment of this module will consist of a repeat examination. It is possible that there will also be a requirement to be reassessed in a coursework element.

Students will be given an opportunity to remediate part or all of their CA performance by the autumn/repeat examination boards by repeating part or all of the same or similar CA.
