Module Description:The aim of the module is to provide the student with knowledge of the measurement, billing and estimating systems used in the construction industry.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Define the procedural aspects of construction projects
  2. Quantify construction works for a domestic building of conventional construction.
  3. Produce a schedule of works for a domestic building of conventional construction.
  4. Overview of generating unit rates and basic cost planning principles

Pricing and Cost Planning
Sources of unit rates and constitute parts; Introduction to cost planning (purpose and techniques)
