Module Description:Students completing this module will have a broad understanding of the issues and technologies currently available in server technology. The student will also have the skills and experience to research independently new aspects of technology.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Understand the specifications of PC / Server components and their implications.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of existing and emerging server design and standards.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of RAID, SAN and multi-processing implementations.
  4. Discuss server design issues.
  5. Develop skills to enable a student to research and understand current and emerging server configurations.
