Module Description:The aim of this module is to provide the students with the ability to understand and evaluate procurement and tendering strategies
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. Discuss procurement options in a strategic manner
  2. Understand and compare the allocation of risk and responsibilities in alternative Standard Forms of Contract
  3. Prepare and analyse tender documentation

Procurement:
Alternative procurement options; clients requirements; contractors responsibilities; corresponding standard forms of contract
Tendering:
EU regulations; Codes of Conduct; tender documentation (main and sub-contractors); tendering process and procedures (main-contract and sub-contract); e-tendering
Contract Award:
Bidding strategies; tender opening process; tender analysis; tender report; contract and sub-contract award

Students shall be given the opportunity to re-attempt the recoverable elements of their CA. Students will be given an opportunity to remediate part or all of their CA.
