Module Description:This module provides the student with the knowledge and skills to identify opportunities for the effective application of technology in music education and community music settings, and its successful implementation.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module the learner should be able to
  1. identify opportunities for the effective application of technology in music teaching and learning.
  2. specify hardware/software solutions for particular music education situtations/tasks.
  3. effectively apply/implement technology in a variety of music education situations with appropriate attention to health and safety issues.
  4. design appropriate materials to enhance teaching and learning in the second-level music curriculum.
  5. have gained an in-depth knowledge of Assistive Music Technology. b) show an awareness of disability issues and accessibility, both in practical and workshop instances.
  6. be conversant with the standard techniques and procedures used by leading field specialists. e) have aquired the skills set needed to implement and design computer music workstations for musicians with disabilities with appropriate attention to health & safey issues.
