Module Description: Introduce students to the Irish political system to comprehend the actors, institutions and processes involved in public policy formation.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

MLO2 Assess the workings of modern politics in the Republic of Ireland, with a particular emphasis on the role of actors and institutions.
MLO3 Analyse modern political events and problems.
MLO4 Explore the implications of multilateralism and interdependence on Ireland as a state and as a member of the EU and the UN
