Module Description: The aim of this module is to introduce students to the fundamentals of data communications and networking.
 
Module Learning Outcome
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

MLO3 Explain the fundamentals of networking and the OSI 7 layer model.
MLO4 Discuss guided and unguided media types. Apply the requirements of network structured cabling.

MLO6 Configure a Local Area Network and exchange data.
