Module Learning Outcome
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

MLO1 Outline the users of accounting information and illustrate how financial statements provide the information required.
MLO2 Classify the accounting conventions underlying the preparation of the financial statements and prepare the relevant adjustments to the trial balance to produce a set of financial statements.
MLO3 Outline the different types of trading entities plus their capital structures, namely Partnerships / Limited Companies / Sole Traders / PLC.
MLO4 Outline the difference between profit and cash flow plus classify and prepare a cash flow statement in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
MLO5 Interpret the performance of a business in a set of financial statements plus construct ratio analysis for such financial statements.
