Module Learning Outcome
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

MLO1 Period 1 - Identify key factors (theory) that are required to develop a Website.
MLO2 Period 1 - Use website design best practices (theory) to create/edit a functional website. Demonstrate proficiency using Web Page Builder (lab-based) in WordPress or equivalent.
MLO3 Period 1 - Utilise an image editing software to prepare Images for Websites.
MLO4 Period 2 - Design a spreadsheet as an analysis and projection tool to solve financial problems.
MLO5 Period 2 - Use a computerised accounting package to record transactions and generate financial statements(e.g. manage finances, customers, suppliers VAT etc.)

Period 1 Web Design Theory
Describe the Design Theory of the structure and layout of your web pages. Applying the principles of good design practices to images. IP Principles Domain Registration and Hosting Naming Conventions and Best Practices.
Period 1 - Web Development & Image Editing
Build web site and apply WordPress features and utilities such as plug-ins, templates, themes and wedgets. Preparing Images for the web
Period 2 - IT Financial Solutions
Understanding the difference between cash and profit. Understanding the theory aspects of accounting and financial statements. Data Analysis for Decision Makers. Integration of business knowledge wih I.T. Skills.
Period 2 - Practical Content - Spreadsheets
Formulas and functions, Protection, Printing, Charting, Modelling business problems, Advanced features. Ensuring spreadsheets are constructed efficiently. Simulation of business scenarios and performing sensitivity analysis on data to enhance decision making.
Period 2 - Practical Content - Accounts Management Software
Nominal Accounts, Invoices, Credit notes, Bank receipts/payments, Transferring money, Recurring transactions, Income Statement, Balance sheet and other reports, Historical Data Analysis, Efficient stock management, Business simulation package.
