MLO1 |
Identify the etiology and associated conditions of a broad spectrum of disabilities and understand their implications on the planning and implementation of physical activity, sport and exercise for this cohort. |
MLO2 |
Explain Adapted Physical Activity theory and recognise the importance of applying adaptation variables to allow for inclusion in physical activity, sport and exercise. |
MLO3 |
Apply the principles of exercise prescription to people with disabilities using evidence based adapted physical activity theory. |
MLO4 |
Effectively communicate and coach individuals with disabilities in a manner that allows the utmost respect, dignity and empowerment of the individuals within this cohort. |
MLO5 |
Critically analyse societal perceptions of disability, models of disability and legislation relating to people with disabilities |
