On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

MLO1 Discuss political events and critique documentary material from German-speaking countries.
MLO2 Perform comprehension tasks based on advanced material of a specialised nature related to German, Austrian and Swiss political events and documentaries.
MLO3 Compare, contrast and critically comment, in written German, on aspects of German, Austrian, Swiss and Irish political events and documentary material.
MLO4 Critically analyse and respond to a variety of literary texts.
MLO5 Compare, contrast and critically comment on aspects of German, Austrian, Swiss and Irish politics and documentaries on a range of socio-political topics.
MLO6 Maximise the use of linguistic resources to communicate effectively in any situation.
