Module Recommendations
This is prior learning (or a practical skill) that is strongly recommended before enrolment in this module. You may enrol in this module if you have not acquired the recommended learning but you will have considerable difficulty in passing (i.e. achieving the learning outcomes of) the module. While the prior learning is expressed as named DkIT module(s) it also allows for learning (in another module or modules) which is equivalent to the learning specified in the named module(s).

Module Indicative Content
Critically analyse the role of Cloud Computing in IT
Evaluate cloud deployment models and gain in depth knowledge into cloud principles solutions and design. Focusing on Advantages and disadvantages of the Cloud while relating to Cloud Concepts. Appreciate the importance of cloud computing and its role in IT
Cloud Architecture Framework Design and Development
Identify best practices for implementation of cloud solutions. Focusing on the key Pillars and principles in cloud architecture. Identify how to design a well-architected framework using the pillars of design to ensure a secure, high performance resilient design.
Plan and Implement the development of applications in the Cloud
Using the knowledge gained on building a well designed framework students will then implement a cloud solution. Concentrating on deploying an Application using Best Practices while applying the concepts and skills learned. Evaluate cloud technologies such as virtualization, multi tenancy, serverless design and data management.
Security, HA and Disaster Recovery
Analyse and assess security processes for applications in the Cloud. Investigate the importance of Service Level Agreements for cloud solutions. Devise Disaster recovery solutions and business continuity processes for a cloud based environment.
