MLO1 |
Communicate, engage and build positive relationships with young people and other adults in a youth work setting that is mutually respectful and appropriate, whilst recognising the steps involved in dealing with challenging behaviours as required. |
MLO2 |
Initiate, build and maintain positive relationships with young people on a one to one or group work basis in accordance to youth work values and principles. |
MLO3 |
Intervene in a conscious and appropriate manner, monitor and assess the effectiveness of the intervention and display the ability to record any learning from interventions in a reflective way. |
MLO4 |
Articulate and practice the role of the youth worker, to include its scope, limitations, boundaries and expectations and work effectively alongside other members of staff, voluntary or paid. |
MLO5 |
Acknowledge and explore personal reactions and feelings to the unexpected, unfamilar and potentially stressful situations. |
MLO6 |
Demonstrate full awareness and compliance around polices, procedures in the workplace, paying particular emphasis on Child Protection Guidelines. |
