Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the use and instruction of a repertoire of restrictive physical interventions and in critically assessing the competence of others in the safe and effective use of these interventions.

Proficiently instruct others in the safe and professional use of a repertoire of personal safety disengagement intervention skills required in high risk situations and restrictive physical interventions within health and social care contexts.
MLO3
Critically reflect upon teaching sessions and student/staff interactions.

Assessment Description Assessment of advanced safety strategies will include four mandatory components including
1) an in-class assessment of teaching others and
2)completion of 60 hours of practical instruction within a service setting and,
3) an onsite assessment of practical teaching and
4) the completion of a portfolio of teaching evidence.
Students must pass the in-class assessment of teaching others prior to undertaking practical instruction in a service setting
