This module equips learners with the core skills in research design. Focusing on developing the research project, the module will ask students to consider critical elements of research design, including research data collection methods, data analysis, ethical concerns and academic writing.

Critique the main theories underpinning academic research. |

Analyse, plan and manage the lifecycle stages of a research project |

Critique the relevant literature and other sources pertinent to their research in a systematic and professional manner |

Select and critique the relevant qualitative and/or quantitative research methods for their chosen research topic, while demonstrating ethical awareness. |
MLO5 |
Synthesise knowledge, prepare and produce an academic proposal. |
