Module Description: On completion of the course students will have developed a hands on knowledge of a range of practical skills across the various disciplines in audio/visual production, producing substantial individual and group projects demonstrating these principles.
 
Module Learning Outcome
On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

MLO1 Manage a production from initial stages through to completion utilising industry standard production methods and paperwork.
MLO2 Interpret a script from concept through storyboarding and shot lists to final edit
MLO3 Utilise the basic principles of shot composition, lighting and sequence shooting.
MLO4 Demonstrate basic skills in manual digital camera operation and audio recording equipment.
MLO5 Demonstrate ability to effectively record audio both to camera and to standard digital audio recorders.
MLO6 Utilise a digital non-linear editing system to edit video and audio effectively.
MLO7 Practically apply key principles of theory relevant to sound and vision.
MLO8 Employ a Digital Audio Workstation (D.A.W.) to edit / sequence / mix sound
