Module Description: This module introduces the archaeology of Celtic Europe and Ireland examining such themes as material culture, burial, ritual and art. The evidence for settlement during the period is also examined. It seeks to place the evidence for an Irish ‘Celtic’ Iron Age in context by providing the European background to the Irish material.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

MLO5 Discuss and detail the key characteristics of the La Tène art style.
