On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

MLO2 Critically examine the distinction between social categories and social groups
MLO3 Assess the distinction between civic and ethnic nationalisms
MLO4 Critically examine the political relevance of specific group identities: race, ethnicity, class, gender, nationality.
MLO5 Evaluate the social construction of deviance and Moral Panics
