The aim of this module is to provide learners, from all health and social care disciplines and settings, with an opportunity to develop knowledge and practical skills necessary to instruct others in the safe and effective management of complex behaviours within health and social care contexts.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

MLO1
Critically evaluate the resources required to create a safe place of learning and critically reflect upon the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively teach others.
MLO2
Demonstrate and critically evaluate the safe and effective performance and proficient instruction of others in the safe and professional use of a repertoire of personal safety disengagement intervention skills and restrictive physical interventions involved in the safe provision of personal care.
MLO3
Demonstrate and critically evaluate the safe and effective performance and proficient instruction of others in the safe and professional use of a repertoire of restrictive physical interventions employed to preserve the safety of all concerned in the context of low to medium risk complex behaviours encountered within diverse health and social care contexts.
