Module Description: |
This module critically assesses the role of the management in a voluntary (non-profit) or statutory social care organisation. The module will provide students with the skills to plan and manage a fit for purpose service and the competencies to innovatively manage change and transformation in a social care organisation.

Critically analyse management theory and practice relevant to social care organisations. |

Determine the environmental factors influencing planning and development in a social care context. |

Assess the role of management in the evaluation and review of service provision. |

Critically assess the different models and frameworks that may be used to implement change and transformation in a social care organisation. |
MLO5 |
Demonstrate the ability to analyse organisational culture and it's relationship with the implementation of change. |

Strategic planning and development in response to service users needs. Co-producing with service users. Managing challenges/barriers to HRBA's advocacy.

Managing quality, control and managing projects
Quality in service provision. Governance and compliance. Regulation standards. Inspection and review. Taking corrective action. Planning and managing projects.

Organisational and International Culture and Change
Nature of organisational culture, intercultural difference, the need for culture change, cultural web

Nature of change and transformation
Perspectives on change, external and internal driving forces for change, role of the change manager, planned approach, emergent approach, operational models for implementing change, resistance to change
