Module Description: Health assessment involves a holistic approach to a comprehensive health history and advanced physical assessment. This module will allow students to acquire the knowledge and skills to undertake a systematic health assessment.

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

Health assessment
Review of anatomy and physiology of various body systems: Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Nervous, Digestive, Endocrine, Renal, Musculoskeletal, Integementary. Comprehensive history taking, advanced health assessment of the following body systems: Cardiac, Respiratory, Abdominal, Neurocranial, Neuromuscular, Skin, Musculoskeletal, Mental Health assessment.

Students will undertake two OSCE assessments. One will focus on completing a physical health assessment, the other will focus on taking a comprehensive health history.
